New ways to save even more time – Impero’s December update

If the countdown to the festive season and the end of 2022 has you wishing for more time, our December release has you covered!

Whether you’re closing out reports for this year or starting to prepare new controls to implement from the beginning of January, here are a few new ways Impero will save you time.

But before we get there, we want to take a moment to thank you for trusting us to simplify your compliance in 2022. It’s been a busy and productive year – and you’ll see some of our highlights below – and we have some big plans for 2023, which you can read a little about here.

We wish you and your team all the best for the festive season, and we look forward to working with you in 2023.

The Impero Team

A personalized overview of control programs and activities

Filter just the control information you need – and then share that view with a colleague

Tired of always having to reapply filters every time you visit control activities?

We hear you.

From now on we are automatically saving your filters and views on the control activities page. We’ve also added the “copy link” feature that lets you share or bookmark your favorite filter settings.

This adds a personalized view to the tabular view of control programs and control activities to the functionality in our last release, where we rolled out a personalized overview for the controls page, user management and user group management pages.

A faster way to view Risk History

Get an accurate view of Risk History over time by limiting a date range to the risk at the outset

Don’t waste time chasing information to try to figure out when a risk was introduced – or, even worse, just guessing when a risk was first created.

Earlier this year we rolled out the Risk History snapshot, meaning you can pick a date and see what the Risk Map looked like on any date.

Now, that process is even faster, with the date picker automatically limiting the range of dates to which the risk would apply from the outset.

This means Risk Managers no longer have to look into the Risk Activities log to see the information, or just guess. Instead, it’s an accurate snapshot set up from the beginning so you can see how risks have changed over time.

Looking ahead

What's on the agenda for 2023?

We’re always listening to customer feedback about the ways you use Impero to simplify your compliance, and we use that to fuel future features and improvements. While many customers are happy using existing functionality to conduct control testing, we have also received feedback that there is a need for more advanced and specific functionality for control testing features.

That’s why we’ve spent the last quarter of 2022 talking to customers and validating ideas on how we can better support your control testing needs – and we will be implementing these ideas throughout 2023.

In the first half of 2023, we will also launch many smaller quality-of-life improvements to existing features based on the feedback that we have received over the past year.

Let us know if you have ideas or feedback so that we can consider it for the 2023 roadmap.
